Recent projects have included a system designed for a start-up company. The brief was to produce a program that would record all aspects and processes for product personalisation - including databases for customers, processors and products. This cost effective solution launched the company from a standing start to £7m per annum turnover within 5 years.

More recent still is a rewrite of a system originally developed in 1992 to run under DOS for TV sales and repair shop in Manchester. The "new" software allows for the continuity of use of the data and includes the conversion of the main program to work under Windows in a networked environment.

Some bespoke systems lend themselves to further development into packaged solutions, often with the original client sharing in the onsales revenue. Packaged software is generally the safe option if it fits your business. However, if your company needs an "exact-fit" then a specially designed and commissioned solution is often the best choice.
